3. If the taxpayer owns more than one residence various factors are looked at to determine if the house he is selling is his principal residence- 1) use of property, 2) location of employment, 3) principal place where his family lives, 4) the address listed on federal tax returns, 5) address listed on driver's license, and 6) mailing address for bills.
